Recipient Profiles
Over the course of Tribute’s four-decades, more than 1,000 local women were nominated by our community for the YWCA’s Tribute Award. Although not publicly published, these nominations make up a particularly inspirational part of the YWCA’s history and point to our community’s rich feminist legacy. The nominations, as well as the library of Tribute Program booklets are available for review by appointment.
Attempts have been made here to succinctly highlight the specific contributions of each Tribute award recipient. In the instances where such information was unavailable in our own archives, the YWCA welcomes records from our community.
