Featuring Speaker Tony Porter
As the world says #MeToo, many are asking: What now? Join us at Open Circle to hear from renowned author and activist Tony Porter. With more than two decades of experience in the violence-prevention movement, Mr. Porter has advised groups ranging from the NFL to the U.S. Armed Forces, and focuses on preventing violence against women and girls by examining the consequences of the limitations we put on boys and men. He turns the long-accepted intersection of violence and masculinity on its head, helping each of us better understand our role in transforming this once-in-a-generation movement into the community we want.
Host a Table or Attend as a Guest
Open Circle is a table-hosted event, with volunteer Table Captains who host a table at the event by gathering at least nine guests to both attend the luncheon and commit to a YWCA gift of at least $100.
For those who would like to attend the event but have not been invited by a Table Captain, you may reserve individual seats with a donation of $100 or more by March 9, 2018. There will be assigned seating at the event, so if you wish to attend with someone else we ask that you please reserve your seats together. To reserve your individual seats, contact Lauren Sikkema at email@example.com or 616.426.3716.
Interested in hosting a table? Great! Volunteer Table Captains can sign up through January 26, 2018. If you are interested, please contact Lauren Sikkema at firstname.lastname@example.org or 616.426.3716. The YWCA will provide you with all the materials you need to be successful – scripts, confirmation notes, etc. Note: All Table Captains will be invited to an exclusive meet-and-greet with Tony Porter.
