Film Screening: The Bystander Moment

Time: 6:00 pm
Location: UICA

In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, join us for a film screening and panel discussion of The Bystander Moment, featuring scholar and activist Jackson Katz. The #MeToo movement has shined much-needed light on the pervasiveness of sexual harassment and abuse and created unprecedented demand for gender violence prevention models that actually work. Be an active bystander with a positive role to play in challenging and changing the sexist cultural norms that too often lead to gender violence. Help us amplify this conversation in the ongoing struggle to prevent sexism and misogyny.

The YWCA West Central Michigan presents this screening in partnership with Cherry Health, Catherine’s Health Center, and Exalta Health. After the discussion, we invite attendees to participate in a community art project to commemorate Sexual Assault Awareness Month. #SAAM

Admission is free but spots are limited – please RSVP today!
