    The YWCA West Central Michigan is seeking a Vice President of Crisis Services & Community Programs to join our team. The salary range is $80,000-$90,000 dependent on experience. This role is designed to oversee our crisis and non-crisis programs serving survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and related issues. This role provides strategic direction, ensures compliance with regulatory and funding requirements, manages budgets and grants, and leads a dedicated team of program directors and staff.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Plan, develop, and oversee all crisis and non-crisis programs in alignment with the mission, vision, and philosophy of the YWCA.

    • Develop and maintain service operation policies and procedures consistent with YWCA West Central Michigan standards and all applicable regulatory, accrediting, and funding bodies (e.g., COA, DVPTB, licensing agencies).

    • Design and implement state-of-the-art service delivery systems.

    • Lead and facilitate staff meetings, collaborating with program teams to foster engagement in program strategy development and implementation.

    • Provide strategic leadership for all YWCA programs, including annual objectives, alignment with the Strategic Plan, and long-term vision.

    • In collaboration with the VP of Development and Strategy, create, monitor, and manage crisis and non-crisis program budgets; review monthly financial statements and management reports to ensure fiscal integrity.

    • Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, including timely data submission, reporting, and tracking to funding sources.

    • Oversee the development of annual business plans for programs.

    • Recruit, select, hire, and, when necessary, terminate employees in collaboration with directors across YWCA programming.

    • Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to staff, including performance evaluations, skill building, and professional development.

    • Coordinate program evaluation, outcome measurement, benchmarking, and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with DVPTB, COA, UW, OVW, and other standards.

    • Monitor and assess program quality control plans and practices.

    • Serve as a member of the YWCA Leadership Team, contributing to program planning, policy development, and staff development initiatives.

    • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, professionals, and partner agencies to ensure broad community support and collaboration.

    • Represent the YWCA’s crisis and non-crisis programs to the community, media, and relevant committees as a spokesperson and liaison.

    • Hold ultimate responsibility for the performance and outcomes of all crisis and non-crisis programs and staff.

    • Provides high-level on-call support in coordination with program directors and managers; available for consultation in crisis or emergency situations.

    • Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field from an accredited university (minimum requirement).

    • Current certification or licensure in the State of Michigan or eligibility to obtain.

    • Five to seven years’ experience in service administration, including program development, grant management, personnel supervision, and budget administration.

    • Extensive knowledge of domestic violence, sexual assault, child sexual abuse and other related issues including program and service provider models.

    • Demonstrated leadership success and commitment to the mission of the YWCA West Central Michigan

    • Working knowledge of multi-disciplinary approaches to identification, intervention, and treatment of interpersonal violence.

    • Excellent written, oral, presentation, interpersonal, and leadership communication skills.

    • Proficiency in computer systems, applications, and office equipment; skilled in both electronic and paper record keeping and data management.

    • Experience and knowledge of program evaluation and outcome objectives.

    • Ability to review case materials, grant requirements, official documents, and statistical reports with sustained concentration.

    • Working knowledge of budget administration and basic accounting principles.

    • Must be able to be a qualified driver at the YWCA West Central Michigan.

  • About the Role

    This position is responsible for performing both preventative and on-demand maintenance services at the YWCA West Central Michigan’s properties. Duties include routine inspections, minor repairs, and ensuring building systems are functioning efficiently. The role also supports event and program operations by assisting with room setups, furniture arrangements, and janitorial tasks as needed to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Performs maintenance, repairs and general upkeep of buildings and equipment for all YWCA owned facilities.

    • Inspect and access the buildings for maintenance needs.

    • Maintains inventories and performs purchasing functions for the facilities department as authorized.

    • Provides guidance and instruction to Maintenance/Repair Assistant and Maintenance Technician I positions.

    • Assists with room set-ups, tear downs, moving furniture, stock and deliveries as needed.

    • Performs general yard work for YWCA facilities which may include but is not limited to lawn mowing, minor landscaping, snow removal and litter clean up.

    • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and facility users for purposes of providing guidance, scheduling, providing instruction and status updates.

    • Reports supply needs, equipment problems, facility upkeep needs or safety hazards.

    • Performing janitorial needs as needed.

    • Available to be in an on-call rotation for emergencies.

    • Assist with basic IT support and building access systems.

    • Perform inspections of organizational assets as needed.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • High school diploma or equivalent level of education and training. Additional training beyond high school in construction, mechanical trades or institutional facility management is preferred. One to two (1-2) years of experience in a related environment preferred.

    • Basic working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, painting, and general construction.

    • Must be able to enter and retrieve data using computer systems, systems applications, and other office equipment.

    • Has access to and willingness to use personal transportation for business purposes, with compensation as allowed by policy, required.

    Under general supervision, the Crisis Services Facilitator provides crisis intervention and supportive services by responding to calls on the Crisis Helpline and offering shelter-specific assistance to residents at Sojourner House.

    • Provides emergency evening and weekend client service intakes.

    • Orients new clients to Sojourner House.

    • Documents resident interaction on Biz Stream

    • Maintains data collection as required for resident/staff interaction

    • May be asked to help train new staff/interns.

    • Performs safety checks, ensuring house safety.

    • Facilitates community meetings to determine the needs of the residents, and weekly support groups, as  needed.

    • Performs tasks such as sorting donations, cleaning, and laundering as assigned.

    • Attends staff and supervision meetings as required.

    • Shifts include some evenings, possible weekends, and holidays throughout the year.

    • Performs other duties as assigned by Senior Director of Residential Services

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 

    • High school diploma.  Additional experience in human or social services, particularly with regard to knowledge of domestic violence and sexual assault is preferred. 

    • Knowledge of the facts and dynamics of domestic violence and sexual abuse or learned within the first 60 days of hire.

    • Active listening, crisis intervention, and problem resolution skills.

    • Conflict resolution training.

  • About the Role

    The Development Manager is responsible for events, corporate relationships, and stewardship of monthly and mid-level donors. This role must be able to identify opportunities to establish, maintain, and strengthen long-term partnerships with a portfolio of corporate donors. The Development Manager must secure sponsorships from corporations for special events and manage the delivery of benefits associated with all sponsorships.     Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Create and develop a persuasive Corporate Sponsorship strategy that includes program and event sponsorship opportunities along with volunteer engagement.

    • Manage and oversee the Development Coordinator, Events.

    • Collaborate with program staff to gather compelling stories to use in furthering the mission and vision of the YWCA.

    • Work closely with the Senior Development Director (SDD), Development Coordinator, Donor Communications (DCDC) and the Development Coordinator, Events (DCE)to build and maintain positive relationships with donors and community stakeholders.

    • Work closely with the SDD to develop financial objectives and assist in preparing annual budgets and projections.

    • Collaborate with the Development Team to create a comprehensive fundraising development plan to improve average gift value and stabilize donor retention.

    • Work closely with the SDD and the DCDC to develop and manage consistent messaging to donors and prospects that align with donor stewardship strategies and the overall fundraising plan.

    • Work effectively with Advancement team colleagues to identify new and legacy donors and build strategies for inspiring donors to give at higher levels.

    • Further develop and implement strategies for mid-level donors and Persimmon Club donors (monthly giving) to establish a pipeline of annual giving and a prospect list for major gifts and legacy/planned gifts for the SDD.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3-5 years of experience and proven track record of securing gifts. Significant professional experience related to nonprofit fundraising may be substituted for a formal degree.

    • Ability to collect, organize and analyze data related to corporate giving.

    • Well versed in direct solicitation best practices and implementation.

    • Considerable knowledge of fundraising techniques and sources of funding.

    • Ability to handle multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.

    • Goal-oriented and have the ability to work within a team environment.

  • About the Role

    In partnership with the Vice President of Revenue Strategy (VP), sets overall philanthropic strategy for the YWCA, including crafting annual and three-year fund development plans with a dashboard to assess monthly and yearly progress. Collaborates with the VP to develop revenue models to diversify and increase unrestricted funds.     Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Fundraise, develop and lead!

    • Develop, implement, and monitor annual and multi-year philanthropic plans supporting operational and strategic goals – revenue and expenses for the Development Department.

    • Outline strategies to grow sustainable, unrestricted revenue through multiple channels including but not limited to annual, monthly, major, and planned giving including tactics related to cultivation and stewardship of donor societies/clubs, and individual, corporate, and foundation donors; events; regular and special appeals, and legacy gifts

    • Work with VP to identify and create major gift opportunities for donors and deepen donor relationships

    • Serve as a liaison to the Fund Development committee and ensure administrative support is provided

    • Evaluate strategy effectiveness and provide regular dashboard reports on philanthropic metrics and overall progress on the fund development plan

    • Develop and manage the major gifts program, with both annual and multi-year commitments

    • Develop and manage the planned giving program

    • Manage and grow the monthly giving program and donor societies

    • Provide strategic oversight for donor communications and events, ensuring alignment with philanthropic and organizational goals.

    • Create specific touchpoints/stewardship activities for individuals, major and planned giving donor/donor prospects. Oversee donor communication activities targeting donor groups.

    • Work with Development Team to regularly evaluate the donor experience and adjust as needed based on best practices

    • Advocate for YWCA positions, clients, and resource needs

    • Oversee all external communications, marketing, and brand management related to fundraising.

    • Implement and directly lead fundraising efforts for two new campaigns happening fall of 2026.

    • Develop external communications strategy in alignment with organizational strategic priorities

    • Strengthen and build an agile and results-oriented staff. Provide performance-based supervision. Ensure staff members are sufficiently resourced and supported.

    • Work with VP to develop and manage department budget.

    • Oversee department operations and ensure compliance with industry standards and applicable local, state, and federal fundraising and solicitation regulations. With the assistance of staff, create and

    • Maintain written policies and protocols for department operations. Ensure efficient, effective, and transparent financial tracking and reporting.

    • Work with staff to ensure that the donor database is effectively managed to support fundraising goals.

    • Promote cross functional collaboration as a component of operationalizing the strategic plan and annual goals. Develop clear processes and collaborate with all organizational departments to create an understanding of and appreciation for the advancement functions.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Bachelor’s degree or advanced fundraising credential/certification, PLUS 6 or more years’ experience

    • Working knowledge of budget administration and basic accounting principles

    • Possess an understanding of issues related to racism, sexism, diversity, empowerment of women and girls, domestic and dating abuse, sexual assault, stalking, and child sexual abuse

    • Facilitate supervised visitation between parents and children, ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment that promotes healthy family interactions. 

    • Accurately document session details, maintain confidential case records, and compile reports to support program evaluation, compliance, and funding requirements. 

    • Support onboarding and skill development for new team members, providing guidance, mentorship, and supervision to ensure consistent service delivery and adherence to program standards.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 

    • Bachelor’s degree in social work required, along with 2 years’ experience working with  families on parenting, childcare, household management, nutrition and budgeting. Domestic  violence and child abuse work experience preferred.  

    • Must possess a valid Michigan driver’s license and up to date auto insurance. 

    • Has access to and willingness to use personal transportation for business purposes, with  compensation as allowed by policy.

The Accounting and Payroll Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records using bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and databases.     • Posts financial transactions into the appropriate computer software

    • Receive and record cash, checks, and vouchers

    • Put debits and income credits into the software, assigning each to an appropriate account

This role is responsible for providing high-quality medical-forensic care to sexual assault and intimate partner violence survivors at the YWCA West Central Michigan NEP. This is primarily a night and weekend on-call position.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 

    • Successfully completes the SANE A certification exam at a recognized SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) Program within 1.5 years of seeing adult / adolescent patients in the NEP. 

    • Successfully completes the SANE P certification exam at a recognized SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) Program within 2 years of seeing pediatric patients in the NEP. 

    • Registered Nurse or physician assistant with current Michigan registration. 

    • CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to attain within 30 days of employment. 

    • Working knowledge of all OSHA safety and health standards relevant to the position and job duties. 

    • Completion of a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner training by a recognized program prior to start or within 6 weeks of hire. 

    • One year of work experience in nursing. 

    • Ability to plan and organize work autonomously. 

    • Liaison with other community partners, related organizations, patients, personnel and individuals in related programs. 

    • Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness and good judgment in executing the role and responsibilities of  a nurse examiner. 

    • Requires concentrated, complex and variable mental efforts, with emphasis on synthesis of information,  written and oral communication. 

    • Requires access to medical and personal information of a delicate nature, and realizes the potentially  serious results of improper disclosure. 

    • Has access to and willingness to use personal transportation to meet patients at the NEP.
