About Denim Day

In 1998, Italy’s Supreme Court overturned a rape conviction because the survivor wore tight jeans—arguing she must have helped remove them and therefore consented.

The day after the ruling, women in the Italian Parliament wore jeans in protest. That act of solidarity sparked a global movement.

Now, we wear denim to stand with survivors, to challenge harmful myths, and to say that what someone wears is never an invitation for violence.

Support Survivors. Challenge Myths. Take a Stand.

This Denim Day, your donation can be more than a symbol—it can be a lifeline.

By donating today, you take a stand against harmful myths and help provide healing, hope, and justice to those impacted by sexual violence in our community.

Every dollar you give supports critical services—like trauma-informed counseling, forensic exams, advocacy, and emergency shelter—offered through our comprehensive response to sexual assault and abuse.

Give in honor of Denim Day. Let survivors know they are believed, supported, and never alone.

When you donate, under “Gift Details,” select “Denim Day” from the drop-down menu.
