Fifth Third Bank Western Michigan
Emily has been with the Fifth Third Bank for 11 years. She is currently the Site Supervisor for Corporate Service Centers I & II and is responsible for the engagement and safety of all employees on campus. Most recently she has been heavily involved in the planning and execution of Covid-19 safety protocols and ensuring The Bank is in compliance with the state’s executive orders. Emily’s volunteer history is also extensive. She is the Business Liaison for the Project SEARCH program where she collaborates with many external partners to ensure the young adults with disabilities involved in the program gain the skills necessary to secure competitive employment. She has served as the United Way Co-Chair Captain for the West Michigan Campaign for 4 years and is also involved in the Information Technology and Military Resource Groups. She regularly volunteers for Girls on the Run, North Kent Food Pantry and is actively engaged in the American Legion Auxiliary. Emily’s commitment to her role at The Bank and the community make her very deserving of this recognition.
Toni Murphy has been with Fifth Third Bank for 27 years, including her time at Old Kent Bank. She is currently the Regional Sales Process Manager for the Private Bank. Toni acts with integrity, confidence, and kindness in everything that she does. She exemplifies what it means to go above and beyond for her team mates and customers of the Bank. Throughout her successful career at the Bank, Toni has managed client relationships, worked on process improvement for the organization and managed internal teams. Most recently, Toni has taken on the additional oversight and responsibility of supporting the Bank’s operations and service teams for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). Through her tireless efforts and late nights, Toni has trained and lead teams across Michigan to assist customers in the application and forgiveness process for PPP loans. Toni worked around the clock for weeks on end, to ensure that customers’ loan requests were processed efficiently and accurately. She continues to strengthen our process and provide excellent support to our customers. In addition, Toni is a member of the Long Range Planning Committee at Cascade Hills Country Club and on the business networking sub-committee of the Women’s Business Resource Group here at 5/3 Bank.
Becky has been with Fifth Third Bank for 30 years including 25 years within the Collections Department. She has been a Horizon award winner for changing a law in the State of Illinois by working with the Political Action Committee and Congressmen from IL. She also received the Consumer Bank Leadership Award in 2017 for creating and implementing the Disaster Playbook that assisted customers anytime FEMA declares a disaster. Becky is an ambassador for serving the community. She has volunteered for years with Fifth Third River Bank Run, Kitchen Sage, Feeding America, March of Dimes, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and even a Board Member of Michelle Lynn Hope Foundation. Becky also volunteers on the Women’s Social Networking Committee helping to coordinate some amazing events. Becky is a fabulous representative of a Fifth Third Better employee by always giving 166% both in her work and in her community involvement. We are proud to have her as a representative of our committee and company.

Dr. TaLawnda Bragg is an internal medicine hospitalist with Spectrum Health Medical Group and program director for the Spectrum Health/Michigan State University College of Human Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program. In addition to proudly training the next generation of physicians, her work has been instrumental during the COVID-19 pandemic in leading community health discussions and education.
Janet Veldhouse is the Vice President of Global Operations Finance for Steelcase Inc., responsible for supporting Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. In addition to manufacturing, she partners with procurement, quality, logistics and the materials management organizations. During her time at Steelcase, Janet has held the roles of Chief Financial Officer for Steelcase Asia Pacific and Assistant Corporate Controller. Janet has also worked at Spectrum Health Hospitals as the Director of Financial Reporting and in public accounting where she specialized in audits of manufacturing and non-profit organizations. Janet graduated from the University of Michigan and is a CPA.
Madelyn is the Vice President of the Sales Support and Services organization for Steelcase. This role encompasses leadership for the Center of Design Excellence, Sales Resource Network, Steelcase Workplace Services, Strategic Projects, Corporate Sales and Concierge teams across the Americas. The organization works collectively to deliver unique customer experiences and services to grow the Americas business.
Since joining Steelcase in 2008, she has held the role of global General Manager for Steelcase Education, Managing Director of Steelcase’s UK and Ireland business, Principal of Design Alliances and Workplace Consultant.
Prior to Steelcase, Madelyn worked as a commercial interior designer for several years. Madelyn continues to maintain her passion for design and design thinking when working with clients to solve problems.
Kelly Osdras is a Treasury Sales Advisor for TCF Bank. She graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Finance and moved to the west side where she fell in love with Grand Rapids. She has been with the bank 12 years advancing through the Professional Development Program into her role in Treasury Management. She enjoys working with customers to find solutions to meet their needs. She is an active member of the Women’s Employee Resource Group.
