Presenting the 2020 YWCA Tribute Awards honorees:

2020 Tribute Award: Shannon Cohen, co-founder of the Sisters Who Lead conference, author, and podcaster

2020 Rising Tribute Award: LaDonna Norman, co-founder of the citywide neighbor group Together We Are Safe

2020 Student Tribute Award honoree and recipient of the $2,000 YWCA Judy Lloyd Student Leadership Scholarship: Olivia Grover, 2020 graduate of City High School

We are also pleased to present the YWCA Helen Claytor Achievement Scholarship for $500 to:
Stella Miller, Northview High School
Lainey Stegeman, Forest Hills Northern High School
Akhirah Tribble, East Kentwood High School

For over 40 years, the YWCA has honored exceptional women in our community and we are pleased to be able to continue this legacy in 2020. With the safety of our honorees, sponsors, and friends of the YWCA in mind, we are excited to celebrate this year’s Tribute Awards virtually.

We are looking forward to taking Tribute beyond the ballroom and connecting with attendees through an engaging online event. With this virtual format, we will be celebrating one Tribute honoree who lives out the YWCA’s mission, as well as a Rising Tribute honoree who exemplifies our mission and is under age 40 or has less than 15 years in their field. We will also be presenting the Judy Lloyd Student Leadership Award Scholarship to a star senior in the YWCA’s girls’ leadership program.
