An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Wednesday, repeating until December 27, 2023
Every Wednesday from 9am-12pm, the YWCA offers Walk-in Legal Advocacy for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Walk-in appointments are first-come, first-served. Interpretation is available on the spot for clients who do not speak English. A Legal Advocate is not a lawyer and cannot provide legal advice or representation. Discussions with a Legal Advocate are confidential.
A Legal Advocate can provide you with information about:
- Parenting time
- Personal Protection Orders
- Civil and criminal legal process
- Court accompaniment
- Preparation for self-represented hearings
- Victim rights during investigation and trial
- Crime Victim Assistance
- Referrals for legal representation
