Domestic violence occurs in gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and trans-gender relationships at the same rate as heterosexual/ non-transgender relationships. LGBT survivors of domestic violence suffer from a range of abuse, including physical violence as well as intimidation, isolation, and emotional abuse.
